UFC’s Knock Out Night
I don’t always watch UFC, but when I do, I watch DOS SANTOS!!

Last night’s card of Heavyweights was a trending topic for “Tweeters,” “Googlers” and “Facebookers.” North America was a buzzz, and nothing else in the world seamed to matter. An estimated 31 million dollars in pay-per-view orders (speculation as PPV doesn’t release their data) was made off the ordering last night. This was the first time in history that an event was comprised of all heavyweight division fighters. IT WAS HUGE!! Sadly, none of the fights made it past the 2nd round.

Will I watch UFC again? Yah, probably. However, this writer is getting a little annoyed at the ongoing PPV fees for these monthly cards. For PPV to charge $45 ($60 Canadian) for each event is a bit outrageous. There really needs to be a package or membership for avid to signup to, in order to bundle these events into a subscription type package.
I’m rather surprised that Mr. White hasn’t drawn up a plan to have fans get more “POW!!” for their buck. I anticipate that as I write these words and spark this idea into the universe, the option may come into play soon enough. Seriously, if there is gonna be nightly episodes, and monthly events, wouldn’t you want your fans to be “caged” into a plan that offers them training tips, player profiles and comparisons, voting modules? If I, a part-time fan, can draw this stuff up, where the heck is Mr. White and his team of money makers?

SNL Finale, a set on Flickr.
Farewell Wiig, you were perfect.
The season finale of Saturday Night Live was phenomenal. The cast sadly said goodbye to Kristen Wiig in a wonderfully song send off. Wiig faught back tears as she hugged the cast that have help shape her incredible talent.
Mick Jagger moved perfectly through the show from host to musical headliner. Foo Fighters, Arcade Fire, Jeff Beck and company were amazing. SNL has once again showcased the brilliance of crossing theatre with TV.
From Facebook to FaceSpace, beware the final frontier.
After reading today’s article by Jolie O’Dell, entitled “Facebook is getting its own app store for all devices, all platforms, all prices,” it’s become apparent to me that Facebook is no longer simply a player in the social network market. Facebook has become a global space, a massive collection of users and business’ that buy, sell, share, watch, learn, and grow from one another.
With the announcement of the Facebook App Center approaching, the “Play”-ground where you and “i” hangout, will be Zuckerberg web time. Web time is simply the time you spend on the web. Fair enough? For example, if you’re currently on the InterWeb for 30 minutes of your day, and 10 of those minutes are spent of Facebook. Zuckerberg wants a portion, if not all of the remaining 20. Having email, apps, video sharing and soon, the Facebook phone (*speculation, but I’m not alone in this guess - see here) will lead us to the FACESPACE.
With the rise of “apps” owning our mobile time, you’ll have no choice but to login into Facebook and get stuck in it’s space.

It’s this writers suspicion that Facebook currency are coming next. The Facebook “marks” - ha, could you imagine that? The MARK Zuckerbery bookmarks - a way of paying for your apps in a new form of digital coin.

Wouldn’t that just slap history’s timeline, in the Face =). Imagine a young Jewish/Atheist boy, of the Zuckerberg tribe, reintroduces a currency called “Marks” into the world. Take that Adolf. We Buzzz’rs’ suspect, the Tweet would most surely hit the fan on this one.

But seriously, I’m urging you all to disconnect for a short while of each day and really soak up the beautiful world we live in. You’re gonna want to see it to remember how nice it was before we all get sucked into FaceSpace :-)
